October 1, Issue 1995 - Volume 31, Number 2
Dave Schultz on his way to winning the 1995 World Bronze medal in the 163 lb. division. Schultz is the 1983 World champion, he won the gold at the 1984 olympic Games by defeating Knosp of Germany. Schultz was the only defending World champion to take part in the 1984 Olympics. He has competed in 7 World Championships between 1982 and 1994. He captured the 1987 Pan American Games gold medal. Dave was suffering from a back injury during the 1995 Worl Championship Team trials and was granted a wrestle-off in order to secure his place on the team, defeating Rob Koll. Scultz attended Palo Alto High School, California. He graduated in 1983 with a degree in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation from the University of Oklahoma and now works as a wrestling coach for Team Foxcatcher.

Remember When ...
November 15, Issue 1995 - Volume 31, Number 4
Zeke Jones on his way to winning the 1995 Bronze Medal. Zeke is a 1992 Olympic silver medalist. He recorded the upset of the 1991 World Championships by beating 4-time World champion Valentin Jordanov of Bulgaria in the gold medal match, capturing the gold medal at the 1994 Pan American Games in Mar del Plata, Argentina. He participated in two Goodwill Games winning gold 1994 and bronze in 1990. Zeke has been ranked number one in the World Cup ranking for1991, 1993, and 1994 and is a 4-time World Cup champion and has has been ranked #1 in the United States in five of the past 6 years. He broke his hand in 1988, preventing him from competing in the 1988 US Olympic trials. Zeke attended Huron High Shool in Ann Arbor, Michigan and granduated in 1990 with a degree in Corporate Financial Management from Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona. He is employed as an assistant coach at Arizona State University. He enjoys monitoring the Wall Street and the New York Exchange.
