Slay's Big Victory
Am going to start a series of 1984 Olympic matches with this gold-medal match. Dave Schultz is by far the greatest wrestler and person I have ever had the pleasure of working with. He was and always will be a true inspiration in my life. In case you are wondering, I had the misfortune of experiencing that deadly front headlock, and the est german was not being a baby about it. Schultz had absolutely flawless technique and could choke you unconscious in a matter of seconds. Dave chultz was my assistant coach my first year at UW Madison, and I learned and grew more as a wrestler and as a person through his teaching and his example than at any other time in my life. This is my way of saying "thank you" to my idol, my mentor, my friend, and my inspiration. Thanks Dave!
